New Cybersecurity Rules Expand Anatel’s Oversight of Networks

Anatel’s Board of Directors approved today, the 4th, a proposal to amend the Cybersecurity Regulation Applicable to the Telecommunications Sector (Resolution No. 740, dated December 21, 2020). With this approval, all providers of telecommunications services of collective interest, regardless of size, must comply with Article 8 of the R-Ciber, which aims to mitigate vulnerabilities in equipment provided to telecommunications service consumers.
