Connected Schools: Country Reaches Milestone of 99,000 Public Schools with Internet Access

Brazil reached a major milestone in public education and digital inclusion this Monday (30). The National Strategy for Connected Schools (ENEC) reached the mark of 99,000 public educational institutions with quality internet access for use in educational activities. The achievement was celebrated at a ceremony held in Brasília, Brazil, attended by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the Ministers of Communications, Frederico de Siqueira Filho, and Education, Camilo Santana.
